During Memorial Day weekend in South Korea (June 6th), my friends and I decided to go on a trip to the famous Jeju Island. I was very excited to go because I had wanted to take advantage of the fact that I was in Korea to go on at least one small vacation. So Jeju it was. Jeju is famous for its sweet and juicy tangerines and its black pigs, and I was very excited for both. And let me say, there is a reason those two things are famous, so delicious. I had an amazing time. It was nice to get out of the city and the 빨리빨리 (pali-pali) culture, meaning the fast paced tendency of being in Seoul. We needed the 천천히 (cheon-cheon-hi) culture of Jeju, meaning the calmness of being outside the city, in a relaxing town near the beach.
